Privacy Policy
How Designite handles enquiries, technical information and website measurement.
Designite, Romania
Information collected
When you contact Designite, the information you choose to provide may include your name, email address, company, website address, project requirements and any other details in your message. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information unless it is necessary.
When you visit the site, the hosting infrastructure may process technical information such as IP address, browser details, request timestamps and security logs. Google Analytics may process website usage information only to the extent it is enabled under the site’s privacy configuration.
How information is used
I use enquiry details to respond, discuss requirements, prepare proposals and, where agreed, deliver services. Technical information is used to operate, protect and troubleshoot the website. Business records may also be retained to comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations.
I do not use contact-form submissions to enrol visitors in marketing communications automatically.
Legal basis for processing
Responding to a request for a quote or discussing a possible project may rely on steps taken at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Project administration may rely on performance of a contract; mandatory records on legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)); and proportionate website security on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
Where consent is legally required for analytics or other non-essential technologies, processing relies on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw. The precise legal basis depends on the processing activity.
Service providers and transfers
Hostinger provides website hosting and may process technical data needed to deliver and secure the site. The website uses a custom contact form and a custom Designite cookie-control plugin. Google Search Console is used to understand search performance, and Google Analytics is used for website measurement only after visitor consent.
These providers may process information under their own documented terms. Some processing or access may occur outside the European Economic Area; where relevant, applicable transfer safeguards and provider arrangements should be checked. Google Search Console does not, by itself, require tracking individual visitors through a website cookie.
How long information is kept
Enquiry information is kept only as long as needed to manage correspondence, assess potential work, and retain appropriate business records. Client and accounting records are retained for periods required by applicable law and agreements. Hosting logs and analytics data are subject to the configured retention settings of the relevant services.
Contact-form enquiries, Google Analytics data and cookie consent preferences are retained for 180 days. Other records, including client and accounting records, may be kept for different periods where required by law or applicable agreements.
Your data protection rights
Under the GDPR, where applicable, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out lawfully. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
Send requests to seamus@designite.org. You may also lodge a complaint with Romania’s data protection authority, ANSPDCP, or another competent supervisory authority.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses a custom Designite cookie plugin intended to block non-essential cookies and technologies. Essential functions may still use limited technical storage. Google Analytics and all other non-essential tracking are completely blocked until you provide consent. Only strictly necessary technologies operate before consent. You may withdraw consent through the website’s cookie controls.
Read the Cookie Policy for further information about the site’s approach to cookies and choices.
Security and policy changes
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect personal information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be revised if the website, providers or processing practices change.
